Loch Creran

Just to prove we had sun on 2 days in a row!
Friday night we met up with 2 friends and on Saturday climbed Ben Sgulaird from Loch Creran - my Munro 212.
Although it isn't a particularly high Munro (937m) you start at sea level and there are 2 fair sized drops which have to be negotiated twice on the route we did.
It was less windy and cold, and mostly sunny but with a few showers, one of snow. It was quite dramatic watching the clouds and rain come in up the loch, hiding the hills of Mull and Morven.
The bridge over the loch used to be a railway bridge but the railway to Ballachullish was closed in 1966 and a considerable time after it was made into a road bridge, making the road round the head of the loch much more peaceful.
Loch Creran is also home to an unusual sort of worm that makes itself hard tubes to live in.
