GWR Heritage Railway

We missed the snowfall again and decided to venture out to the nearby Heritage railway, the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, for a chug up and down the line.  Channa loved it and we even had an upgrade to first class due to guard saying that he thought Channa needed to go into a warmer carriage!


The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway runs along a part of the former Great Western Railway's mainline from Birmingham to Cheltenham, via Stratford-upon-Avon. The line commands wonderful views of the sleepy hamlets and villages, as the it runs though the beautiful Cotswold countryside.  The line now runs 10 miles between Toddington and Cheltenham Race Course.
