Early morning by the lake

I woke early and it was a beautiful morning, so I put the boys in the car and drove to the lake to enjoy the sunrise.

It was amazing! Freezing cold and frosty, but so so so pretty.

The boys are mad - they played in the water even though there was ice on it. They had tiny icicles in their fur, but they loved it.

We stayed for about an hour and then we walked through the woods back to the car, to get some warmth into the boys' muscles again, before driving home. 

When we came home, the boys had their nice warm drying coats on and I made myself some breakfast and coffee and now we are all settled on the sofa watching a movie. 

Later - when we are all dry and warm again, we will go outside for a training session.

What I love about this picture is that even though the boys are just black dots in the corner, you can still see who is who and you can tell a lot about their personalities too. Biscuit standing proud and strong to the right. Beat in the middle - always ready for action with his one ear pointing up. And Hero to the left, never making much of himself but so loyal and loving.
