Magic Dawn

Not often I am up before dawn - not a chance usually as I'm a night person! However at this time of year on a cloudless cold morning like this I appreciate the special magic of another day dawning that I take for granted.  I can understand why our ancestors worshipped nature. I love the layers in this scene - the orange horizon, the hills with the outline of the multi-storey flats, the mist over the city, the bank of dark trees and the rooftops in the foreground.
