We arrived in Ambon at 6am and met the famous tourist information officer Michael within 30 minutes of touchdown. His homestay is literally visible from the runway.. The easiest arrival we've ever had!


After sleeping most of the day we thought we’d explore Ambon a bit; find the harbour for our boat to the Banda Islands the next day and pick up some last minute supplies. The Christmas tree at the Hypermarket was actually the best in the city.. no joke!
