Road trip -> home

Dave drove us home which I always appreciate!  Not too much traffic on the road. Not quite as deserted as this photo would make you think but a number of spots where there was no one else around.

We collected Maggie who seemed pleased to see us and all headed home.

Went to look at a hybrid pack/trolley case for me for our trip later in the year and got one half price in the post-Xmas sales.  Much as I don't want to carry too much I thought 40 litres a little too small for two months away so went for 70.  Hopefully I can pull it more than carry it although I hear Venice is banning cases with wheels due to noisy and cobblestone damage!

Looking forward to a bath (which I have missed) and sleeping in my own bed.  I was pleased that the bed in the holiday home we rented was a good firm one.

We've had a great few days.
