The Birds Nest

There was a knock on the door this morning... "Meg, Meg..we found a nest".
Flynn and Eve (3 and 4) very carefully carried it into the house to share their treasure with us. It was found under a ponga, and the eggs were all broken, we think it may be a finch nest.
So we carefully put it onto a white sheet so that I could take a photo of it. 
So enjoy having these two little ones popping in to see us and show us their treasures!
And an enjoyable afternoon on the lake with friends Vicki and Ed from Rotorua, moored up in a pretty bay with our lunch and a few vinos. Couldn't be better
