Is it spring yet?

No one explained to the purple shamrock that it's the middle of the winter and so he should go dormant. 

He (all my plants are a 'he') went a bit poorly after I put him in a new potting mix after flooding him, thanks to poor drainage in a pot he lives in. There was just one pale leaf for over a month but just after the winter solstice he decided to wake up , a dozen new leaves burst out and I can see some flowers too...
