Peace keeper

I bit the bullet today and visited my Sister.

I was still mad at her but calm enough now to be able to voice my opinion in a civilised manner.

She apologised to Mum last night, and I also got an apology (which I didn't expect).

Her excuse was she had a rubbish Christmas day, I told her we did too after receiving her nasty texts! I said it was no excuse to take it out on me & Mum, especially when we had taken the time to get things for her.

I added I would rather she sound ungrateful and ring me to ask where her voucher was, rather than assume I'd not got her one and go ballistic!
She still hasn't found it, luckily Joe Brown's customer service team were really helpful and gave me the code for her to use.

So, we had a hug and peace was restored (until next time).

Theo was full of beans today and having a hard time deciding which toys to play with, he got loads for Christmas!

His favourite seems to be the activity cube that my Mum got for him, particularly the chalk board, though he chalked my jeans as well.
At least it wipes off....just in case the walls get redecorated!

We had some sad news about my neighbour today; her health is rapidly deteriorating and they have said she may only have a few weeks left.

Her speech has now gone completely, she communicates through the iPad and she is being fed through a tube.
If she is well enough to be discharged, plans are afoot to send her to a local nursing home as the care she requires is now beyond what home assistants can do. Sadly, I think this will be what diminishes her will to live; she really doesn't want to go into a home.

I'm hoping she will find some fight, but it's not looking good :-(
