Pheasant in The Frosty Pentlands

After two days of slothlike behaviours it was great to spend a day out in the snowy & frosty Pentlands today.

This was one of many handsome fellas I saw today, both alive & dead and I have a few more birds hanging in the shed awaiting my new-found skinning skills.

At least there's some justification for another early one tonight before tomorrow's birthday celebrations kick off (S's not mine).
