Two lurchers lounging

Ruari had his post op check up today and all is healing well.

The 'lampshade' hasn't been much use, they aren't made for lurchers small heads and large necks, the first night we got wakened up by him yelping with his back leg caught in it - he must have been trying to scratch his ear and got it stuck. The second night we used the bandage the vet gave us more creatively, looping it through the lampshade then through his collar - when we woke up in the morning he'd managed to get them both off completely, after that we gave up.

We have had a lazy day today, T got thoroughly chilled standing outside all day yesterday and has been sniffling and coughing all day so I have been playing nurse, making hot drinks and keeping the log burner topped up. Thankfully it hasn't developed into man flu but I am taking no chances, he has a heart condition so he needs looking after.

The dogs are very happy, they abandoned their beds for the fireside rug and it took some convincing to get them out for their walk this afternoon.
