Grey squirrel

On Christmas Day we topped up all the bird feeders which has cheered up the local squirrel population no end. I counted five in the garden this morning - two of which were swinging on the feeders and defending them in short-lived aggressive skirmishes. This was one of the victors.

I woke with a bit of a cold, so we had a fairly quiet Boxing Day - the bitter grey weather didn't encourage any of us outside. The evening was spent playing board games. We started with 'Pandemic', which is a collaborative game where teams of players work together to try and prevent a global pandemic. Quite tricky to learn, but very absorbing - not surprisingly we failed, but now have a better idea of the strategies that work. 

This was followed by a few rounds of 'Rapidough', although it was hard to keep some people focused on the task and stop them from modelling animals and space weapons!
