Chaffinch

It has been a beautiful day but very frosty. I had to put extra seed etc out for the birds today. We had 6 blackbirds first thing this morning . The blackbirds are happy to let the wee birds share on the bird table but if another Blackie approaches they peck even if it is a female. I wonder will that attitude to the female change in the spring.
