Ferrari Calendar

Actually I was hoping for photogenic snow in the late afternoon/evening, but all we got here earlier on was very soggy sleet, and although it became rather more like snow later, it was still not very inspiring.

Fortunately I'd taken a photo earlier, just in case, and as a possible image for a single-page A4 calendar for a friend. I didn't have a photo of a 'real'  Ferrari (let alone multiple Ferraris) to use for the calendar, so I had to photograph these old models instead - DOF was a real problem with these very small models, and this also influenced the angle at which they were shot. Perhaps I should experiment with tilt and shift on this subject another time.

Ferrari supporters need all the encouragement they can get at the moment ..... (though they aren't the only ones, as McLaren didn't have a great year either, and BRM are LONG gone, as are the REAL Lotus - so it's been so good to see a resurgence in the fortunes of Williams).
