Worm Hunting

Final preparations for "The Big Day" - I was at Tadcaster Sainsburys just after 6 a.m. - soon after it opened and it was lovely and quiet.

Later we went to Wetherby to collect the Christmas lunch order which, given that it is Christmas Eve, was remarkably painless. We dropped straight into a parking space and joined a very short queue for orders in the store!

I walked the dogs at lunch time and was amazed to see banks of snowdrops flowering - it was end of January earlier this year when they were out.

With the colder weather we are getting a few more bird visitors - including this thrush who having a feast of worms. Shot hand held at max zoom, through the kitchen window and quite heavily cropped, so not the sharpest of shots.

Later in the afternoon I collected our son and then we all went off to our daughter's house for Christmas!
