Hanging Head

A deliberately un-Christmassy pic after the overdose of festivity for the last 25 days... Don't get me wrong, we're still very much celebrating Christmas – met up with friends and their family for a few festive hours in the afternoon. But photographically speaking I'm ready for a change of scenery :-)

We went for a long walk in the morning to work off some of the Christmas day calories, and wandered past an artists' cottage that always has some weird and wonderful pieces on display outside. In fact we got one of their works that we've previously admired as a Christmas present! But we haven't collected it yet, think that's waiting until the new year.

This was the creepily realistic head dangling from a tree outside their studio that caught my eye.
