Young Beech Leaves, Inverurie

Fresh leaves, with their characteristic silky hairs, are now starting to appear on the Beeches (Fagus sylvatica) around here, as on this specimen, close to the bridge over the River Don joining Inverurie with its 'suburb' of Port Elphinstone, Aberdeenshire
