Seven

Jeanne turned seven yesterday; we went to my parents' to celebrate the important moment with her. You can see I was there too for the same event last year...

On the menu were scallops and spinach (great combination!), cheese (including an excellently matured cheddar) and a chocolate/salty-butter caramel/Speculoos birthday cake, which you can see here.

A walk by the sea after lunch was what we all needed; then it was time for us to head back, as we were a two-hour drive away from my father-in-law's, where a simple dinner of zucchini-and-carrot soup awaited us.
