My Mum hadn't visited the Olympic Park yet and Alice was eager for a kick-about with her new football so off we all went. We managed a good couple of hours before the delightful winter rain dampened our enthusiasm, and I had a great time pretending to be Messi with the son I never had. Unfortunately for me Alice is sharp as a tack and was able to see through my 'skills' in an instant, but ever the diplomat humoured me.
