OPHIR SWING BRIDGE

Always meant to photogrqph this historic bridge so today as Ii came across the Maniototo I did.   It is a great example of the way they built way back,  and was opened on May 10th 1880,and is called the Daniel O'Connor bridge after an Irish Patriot, and deisgned in its original form by I.D.MacGeorge.
I am parked up behind the Clyde Dam on the shores of Lake Dunstan and is a beautiful night so still in a Tshirt and sitting outside.. Magic.
