Latkes with Salmon. Leitz Summicron 50 mm DR.
We have a tradition on Friday night after work of finding a bar to prop up and to enjoy some good old-fashioned salt and grease washed down with suds. Since I was the one working, and my editor home from her day job for the Christmas Holiday, I came home to latkes being fried. There was a good supply of peat-smoked Scottish salmon in the fridge along with sour cream and dill. And here it is: all the the essential ingredients are there.
