ho ho lego

+1/3's Christmas present: I give you the Lego Volkwagen T1 Camper Van complete with many, many fiddly bits, pop up bits, engine bits, door bits and flip up front windows. Important not to forget those. 

+1/3 does love his Lego but oddly enough in a completely different way to me: I was always interested in technic Lego and making machines whereas +1/3 prefers models that are more realistic. 16+ age rating? Pffft. It did keep him quiet for a couple of hours though...

The van is today's shot as +1/3 was busily taking some photos himself while I was sitting close by so we had a quick lesson on aperture settings, low f-numbers and defocussed backgrounds - the 55mm wasn't wide open as the depth of field is so small at 40cm the camper van ended up mainly out of focus. 

A quiet day today mainly spent making food, cleaning up, watching TV (+3/3 absolutely loved Monsters Inc.) reading stories and doing computer related DIY - after 18 months doing the weekly commute the household gadgets all fell into a state of staleness with updates piling up and nearly everything running out off storage space. A quick order of some disks and a cheap NAS and hopefully tomorrow I should be able to start shuffling all of the data scattered across the computers and tablets into one common RAID'd place. That's the plan anyway.

Music for today: very limited however my SimpleAudio boxes have just been setup so tomorrow might bring some more choice!
