Cheating~on Christmas!

In our crackers this year we delighted to find wind up reindeer with a race track, thank you Courtney! Good choice! However, the baser Kristmas instincts prevailed as my brother and Arnie gave in to the lure of cheating! And not even very stealthily, I might add! Hope your day was wonderful and that warmth and love were yours. On to a new year, new adventures and new blips.
I am going to designate Fridays as a day of adventure for my student Philip and me. We need to shake up our routine so we will cruise around the city and find new things to explore. He will hate it for a bit but I'll figure out how to make it not too traumatic. Many people with autism find change quite stressful and it's part of our work together to include new activities so he can roll with what comes, remain calm surrounding unfamiliar demands placed upon him. Since Philip doesn't speak much, it's easy for others not to know his preferences, so it's part of my evil plan to change things up unexpectedly and support him through the rough adjustment  patch.

Anyone want to accompany me on the Ferris wheel out over the waterfront? I'm going to check it out before taking P.
