Christmas Day

A wonderful Christmas day was had by all. This morning was the first Christmas that I slept right through the night and I felt brilliant for it. Joe and I lounged around all morning drinking tea and cooking dinner and opening gifts. Joe's mum and dad arrived about 12:30 and dinner was served around 1pm. I surpassed my own expectations. The roast potatoes were crispy and were my favourite part. I thank the Waitrose goose fat and semolina for how tasty they were. A lovely afternoon of chatter and laughter included my first experience of the Queen's speech and we bored Joe's parents with endless photos from our USA trip. At 5pm we headed to my cousin's with the Weston's in tow. A lovely evening of two families spending time together playing board games and drinking rum, cider and brandy. I am eternally grateful for all the presents I received today. They are just a token of the love and friendship that I am so lucky to have. I hope my friends and family realise just how much they mean to me and I wish them all a Merry Christmas. Cheers!
