Christmas...

I had a lovely day yesterday, spent time with my family and have been thoroughly spoiled. For once, Christmas Day didn't involve over indulging and I didn't feel like I was going to roll home. Although, it has to be said that I really wanted a turkey sarnie last night. First year ever, we didn't have a proper Christmas dinner. I almost contemplated buying a half price turkey crown today, but my sensible head took over and decided that eating turkey for a week was probably something I should leave to everyone else. I did buy chipolatas though... it just wouldn't be right not to, they are my favourite part of Christmas. Obviously I bought two packets.

So this morning, I woke up at 8am and decided the only sensible(?) thing to do was to hit the sales. The really sensible option would have been to go back to bed but no, I ventured into a very dead city centre at 9am and pottered about looking for pots. Pots and pans?  When did this happen to me?  How?  Wtf?!

I bought household items... I can't explain when/how this happened to me so I consoled myself with new shoes to compensate for my ridiculously middle aged shopping habits. I may even have considered a nap when I got home.

However, I managed to stay awake cause afternoon naps are for children and pensioners and now I've just picked up my laptop to look something up and by the time I got it from the pouffe to my knee, I'd forgotten what I was going to look up.  #middleage #seniormoment #poursmorewine

My new coffee machine has come in handy today for sure!  I may be bouncing of the walls at 3am again though. Leftovers for dinner tonight... namely my Mum's trifle... I may have brought back a rather large portion... that whole rolling into bed thing may well still come!

The girls and boys at work bought me this little Robin... I filled their stockings with nonsense when they weren't looking and they thanked me with this little bird for my tree. The tree that I lobbed out last night... it was seriously dead and I was sick of the sight of it. Christmas is done. Ha!

I hope you've all had a lovely time with family and friends and Santa brought you lots of nice things. x
