SWORD DANCE

Over to Greatham (Kath Gordon's 'one street') for the traditional Boxing Day Sword Dance at the gates to the ancient Hospital of God. It was all good fun, a couple of songs and dances, the unfortunate accidental death of the Clown, and the appearance of the Doctor with his miraculous cure followed by showers of financial appreciation from the audience, and then the last dance resulting in the Star.

Then the dancers and a large proportion of the audience repair to the nearby pub for further festivities and refreshment, but I didn't join them. Maybe next year.
