Happy Christmas!
A lovely day with family, wonderful presents and amazing food and drink. T's face was a joy to watch as he opened his presents and discovered books, membership to a tea club and a fountain pen among many other presents including Christmas socks (I had almost bought him a reindeer onesie but didn't know if it would fit a 6ft 1in teenager - he seemed relieved that I hadn't ...)! His girlfriend B arrived and she had been baking - lovely!! J had put so much thought into her present buying - as had R - perfect gifts!!! Chilled out day with a jet lagged siesta for me thrown in. We watched White Christmas, which I hadn't seen in years, so had to sing along. J had only discovered the film last year and I had a memory moment as this was a film I watched every Christmas as a child and a teenager. Watched R and J doing a jigsaw - my contribution was finding one piece of the jigsaw! Christmas dinner, cooked by M, was delicious and around midnight we gathered to watch Arthur's Christmas, eat chocolate cake and mince pies, and - the killer blow - a glass of mulled wine (with a slug or twenty of brandy). I didn't make it to the end of the film ...
