A morning walk

Christmas tradition when I am in Manchester for Christmas is to go over to my Nephew's and exchange presents. Usually it's a drive over, stay for an hour and then drive back. This year though I decided I would walk there and get a life back with my brother and mum so I could get a bit of exercise in after yesterday's excesses. 

The walk should be about 3.5 miles over a small hill that has a building called Hartshead Pike on the top of it. On the way up the hill I came across this horse and its owner who had the same idea of a morning walk and I thought it made a nice snap.

Just over the hill I temporarily lost my bearings and ended up taking a wrong turning which meant I added an extra couple of miles onto the walk, well at least it means I can have more excesses this evening!
