Stepping out

These young riders seemed to be enjoying the craic at the Boxing Day hunt today.  The hunt leaves from the bottom of our road so it is an annual tradition for us to go to wave them off if we are at home.  It was a bit dreich today, but there were lots of folk out to watch about 60-or-so riders head off.

The Ards Man tells me that fox hunting is not illegal in N Ireland, but I'm not convinced this lot ever catch one anyway.  It is a big social thing and lots of the ladies look like they usually 'lunch' rather than hunt.  The dogs are wonderful to see as they all head off, but unfortunately today a dirty great big car pulled up at the traffic lights just as they were setting out.  Honestly, where is there a traffic policeman when you need one?

We had a really lovely day yesterday and chilled out in the evening watching reruns of the Big Bang Theory.  We FaceTimed the Precious and Gustavo in the afternoon, after we'd returned from visiting granddad in hospital. 

The girls have decided that I have to go back to blipping every day, as they don't know what I'm up to, otherwise.  The Ards Man did not think this such a good idea, as he says that he then has to endure living with a frantic blipper, looking for the next big shot.....
