bumble bee

Came home from work and my wife reported a large bee outside continuing to fly in the same area but not going to any flowers. She said it isn't a bumble bee, wrong color and too large. I used my camera on action shot (3/sec) and the telephoto. This was the best photo of the bee which I say is a bumble bee.

Are there any other opinions besides bumble bee ?
