I Want YOU...

...to adopt an orphan cat
...to sweep this floor
...to be my couch to sleep on
...to feed & pet me for the rest of my life

For this second-in-a-row emergency cat blip of the ever-gorgeous Laura Earle, she happened to be sprawled out on the floor, pointing her paw toward me and reminding me of the iconic WW1 US Army recruiting poster by James Montgomery Flagg, showing Uncle Sam demanding that every young man leave his home and family to fight in a war. The Uncle Sam character dates another century back, supposedly refering to a New York meat packer named Sam Wilson, who supplied food to the troops during the (American) War of 1812. There was a little joke, where someone said that "US" stood for "Uncle Sam" who had packed the meat while it actually stood for "United States."

This is the blipper's life. It's 11 PM and the camera's empty and you shoot the cat. Then you somehow wind up quoting Muhammad Ali, who refused military service in 1966, during the Vietnam War:

"I ain't got no quarrel with them Viet Cong ... They never called me nigger."
