Merry Christmas

It was the earliest Christmas start for quite a few years today. I was duty crew and my pager went off at 5.40 am for a suspected person in the water. All ended up safe and well and I was back home for around seven. I struggled to get beck to sleep before Roz and Maddy got up at quarter past nine though.

We did Christmas present opening then Roz's birthday present opening and then I went back to bed for a bit.

I'd not long been up after my mid day nap when the pager went off again. I rushed down to the station (in my christmas onesie) and it turned out four people and a dog were stuck on Crammond.

By the time I got back home the soup was just about to be served. We had Roz's mum out for Christmas dinner along with Heather, Jess and Milo.

We had a great dinner with great company then settled down for Christmas telly and following a long established tradition I fell asleep during Dr Who.

Hope everyone's had a great day. I have two more hours until I'm no longer on duty and can have a wee drink before bed.
