For mum

This is Farthing a 'Charlie Bear'. It was to be mother's Christmas present. We were going to take it up today for her. Alas we didn't get the chance. With perfect timing (!) she slipped away peacefully this morning. We got a phone all from the hospital but she had gone before we got there.
It has been a strange day - having to be jolly for some people (and kids especially) while at the same time telling people that mum had gone.
The hand of God though is ever present. I was home to be with her, I'm home to support sis who has looked after her tirelessly over the years and I haven't had to leave her to come back to NZ, something I was dreading.
