once a year

one would expect a christmas post...but as it happens - it is not todays once a year event.  It was instead the opening of the dragon fruit flower.  Missed the actual open - we came out to find it dangling in the tree - much like this. It does appear a dragon fruit will follow....fingers crossed.

In other news: there were two major gift opening ceremonies, more food than needed & the meringue mess turned out a treat...swimming, tears, laughter & hugs a plenty....followed by a rest.
