Kids and their Toys

It's been a mixed day of periods of high activity interspersed with leisurely, chatty, funny down times when we've just enjoyed being in each other's company.  It was baking day so we've had to navigate the local store for ingredients resembling mincemeat and biscuit ingredients.  Tony has made an apple pie for tomorrow and Jenny made yummy ginger biscuits which were delicious dunked in mulled wine at this evening's get together with friends of Becks and Rob.  Jen also produced chocolate orange cookies and I used up the remains of the pastry in mini mince pies.  Tomorrow my brother and nieces arrive from Boston to eat Christmas Dinner with us.  Sadly sister-in-law Anne is in the UK helping to sort out care for her ailing mum.

So my blip is of one of those moments in the day when we all sat down with drinks to take a breather before the next round of things to do.  Funny how all this electronic wizardry appears, but then I can talk!
