Disruption continues in the village

At some point in the "future" the Midland Main Line is to be electrified. Most of the bridges that go over the tracks are too low and must be raised. Raising as such is not an option so they are being replaced. The road this bridge is on will be closed for at least 4 months. We have 3 other roads into the village but two of them go under the railway and have height restrictions of about 4 meters. This leaves just one road into the village that can take delivery vehicles and double deck buses and it's not much more than a country lane so it makes for very interesting driving!
Today's blip is the start of the removal of the old bridge and preparation for the new one - the precast sections are already parked in a layby on the A6.
To add insult to injury Anglia Water are to start flood prevention measures in the New Year that will last for 3 months - so that will be two roads either closed of very restricted with a one way system. I think I should go on holiday and miss the disruption!!!
