Guardbridge Paper Mill

I seem to be going through a phase of taking shots of buildings at the moment!

Been wanting to take some shots of this for ages. The mill closed in 2008, all the machines etc have been stripped out and was sitting empty until St Andrews uni bought it recently. All the entrances are barred, so its going to take some planning to actually get onto the grounds to take some closer (and better shots). I do like the tall building though.

Last time I was inside there was at Uni when we did a tour. Back in the day the place was a blip goldmine...if only digital cameras were around then! Still might be a great source of blips if only i could get inside....

The two memories I have of this place are doing the tour at Uni and earlier as a young kid holding my nose each time we drove past as the smell from the estuary was an absolute pong. They invested in a waste treatment plant sometime in the late 80's/90's and after a few years the smell was a thing of distant memory thankfully.
