White-tailed Deer

I was just about to waltz out onto the porch to grab a few logs for the fire when I noticed "Dot" tiptoeing across the yard on her way to see if maybe the birds had left some peanuts on the ground under the tree. I grabbed the camera and got a couple of shots, but then she saw me and ran back up the hill. Without having had any peanuts. Poor Dot. But, she'll be back.
