''Twas the night before christmas

Kiddies went to nursery this morning for their Christmas party. I felt bad taking them in on Christmas Eve but it did give me chance to totally blitz the house. It's never looked so clean and tidy! And I had the chance to have a soak in the tub too.

When I went to collect them at 1:30 the party was still in full swing. All the children were eating their party lunch and the magician was setting up his props. We were invited to stay, so we did. It was great fun. The magician had all the children captivated and we had a good laugh dancing the hokey cokey and doing the conga.

The highlight of the day has to be seeing Santa flying overhead in the sky this evening. I was dubious as to whether we would really see it or not. But at 5:22, stood on the playing field with a handful of other families we saw him. P was so excited and kept shouting "I've been a good girl!" and "there's my house over there. Come back later!"

Mince pie, carrots and a beer have been left by the fireplace. Both kiddies are tucked up in bed. Friends round for a few drinks tonight then its the big day tomorrow!! Hurrah!
