Christmas eve
It is Christmas eve and I am still not feeling very festive. Although after Adam's disappointment with his driving test yesterday he got good news last night when he finally checked his emails and saw he has been made an offer from Imperial College, and a very easy offer at that (meaning one he can easily get the grades that they are asking for) so we were very pleased. It ranks tied 2nd in the world with Cambridge so I do believe the course there will be excellent, despite the drawbacks of being in London.
I wanted to do a Christmassy blip today, but I took this when collecting one of the boys from the station a few minutes ago, and the boys wanted me to rather blip this shot.
Christmas eve...I am about to go play a board game...Luke is a great traditionalist and loves his board games at Christmas time. Then a bit later some champagne and salmon blinis before a light supper of baked salmon, salad and potatoes, nothing too heavy before the big Christmas lunch tomorrow.
We are going skiing after Christmas and thankfully the eastern Swiss Alps have quite good snow, while the western Alps have very little snow this year. Luke starts his ski instructor course at Morzine in France on the 4th January and he is hoping they have a good dumping of snow before he gets there. It is a BASI (British Association of Snowsports Instructors) course so I am sure it will be very well organised.
