Christmas Eve baking

Finally got round to making the mince pies. Better late than never?
Then untangled the Christmas lights (3 sets wired to two plugs...) to put up round the front door.  Amazingly they all work although I had to change a few bulbs.  Now to prepare to cook a nut loaf...
Why am I doing all this? I often find myself wondering...
