Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

One more sleep!

I am thinking that Archie is now in his teenage phase... Several new undesirable behaviours have appeared - barking at the doorbell, barking at the hoover ( I know these are normal doggie things, but he never did them before). Barking at the big wavy plant that's been outside the kitchen window all his life...

And yes...

Running around at 4am again with MY SOCKS!

The sock thing has been a regular 'Get up, mum!' fun activity at about 7am. Never ever at any other time.

I'm even thinking that his unhelpful behaviour at the groomer's this week is part of it, but Craig kindly made excuses for him. How long does a teenage phase last?

However, we're all getting in to the Christmas spirit. I've promised Archie we'll all wear silly hats tomorrow, but he had to practise wearing his today.

I've turned off my comments. I'm finding the new blip very frustrating - the commenting notifications function for one thing is a joke. Except it's not funny. And they don't seem to be in any hurry to fix it.

And it's not because I don't like change - we'll all get used to the new site, and they may even listen to some of the complaints. I just don't like an untried, untested slipshod shambles being passed off as 'progress'. And people who make valid constructive comments/ complaints are told that they are being 'negative'.

I'll keep posting (but missing the chat) but will look in on journals.

On a less grumpy note - really enjoyed The Wrong Mans the last two nights. Laugh out loud funny!

Merry Christmas everyone!
