Gardeners Cottage

Family night out at the Gardeners Cottage just off the London Road in Edinburgh. A tiny restaurant with a single set menu, it could have been a disaster, but it wasn't.

Lots of small, interesting dishes with from the leek and potato soup with Arbroath smokie to the venison with three styles of Jerusalem article (roast, pureed, crisps).

And the wine was good too.
