"Me" time

For my birthday (in October), my hubby paid for a Colour Consultation with a Colour Me Beautiful local consultant and today was my visit to her. I wasn't sure what to expect, except that I knew I would have some make-up applied (I don't usually wear make-up), and she will guide me to the colours and hues that bring out the best of me.

Maria is a lovely person, very chatty and knowledgeable on her topic; I had my make-up session and this then helped with my clothing colours etc. We spent just short of three hours together and I now know where I was going wrong (I must say I naturally pull towards wearing the colours that suit me. They used to describe people by seasons, but now they define by hues (light, deep, warm, cool, clear, warm) - I am soft!

I visited my mum first thing, who was happy - especially with her new nightie and her cardigan from her son & family.

This afternoon my aunt (AJ) and my aunt & uncle arrived, after a fish & chip tea, dropped my aunt and uncle over to my cousin and AJ over to my sister.

Work tomorrow - hope I can finish early!
