Northern exposure

Took this literally right outside our house this evening. It wasn't as bright to the naked eye but a long exposure (balancing the camera on top of the car, with a towel under it to protect it from the icy roof) did the trick. A beautiful calm night, as you can see from the reflections in the voe, and the stars were out in force. Marvellous.
