Patience

My neck and right arm have been painful for a fortnight. There's tingling in my fingers too. Analgesia, rest and massage have not helped much... so I've been sent for radiography.  A "slipped cervical disc" is suspected, but when you know a bit about anatomy, physiology, pathology and medicine in other animals it provides lots of grist to the mental mill...
