Prawn Snowflake
My latest photo magazine had a suggestion for producing a surreal snowflake using an object and some PS magic. The article used a plastic lobster which was very effective. For my attempt I borrowed Mum's Prawn from the kitchen.
I shot the prawn on a white background and transferred it to PS Elements via Lightroom. I deleted the background then duplicated and rotated the image by 60degrees 6 times to create a circle. The circle was flattened, duplicated, rotated and reduced a couple more times to fill in the centre. Finally it was given a back background, converted to B&W and sent back to LR to tweak and sharpen.
