.......Light at the end of the day.....

Long journey yesterday.......visited the Boss' Dad and partner.......increasingly looking like they may need to move into care.....I'm keeping out of it.....enough with dealing with my Dad's problems.

After 4 hours on to my Dad's.......unloaded the car and off to hospital.

Not good......Dad still on a drip but his arms are so bruised from previous needles that it's feeding into his ankle.......still fitted with a catheter....and a worrying cough.

Very little conversation.........not really recognising who is visiting........he seems to be going downhill...........Chinese takeaway......restless night....I managed to twist my knee in the middle of the night.

Up this morning to discover the kitchen light not working........and no replacement tube..........off home to get ready for our Christmas dinner with D and V and B  and S.

Determine to get a shot of the light today...........but there wasn't any......solid cloud in the North East......pelting rain in the North West........about 4.00 p.m. the weather broke to reveal this little patch of brighter sky.

D rang to inform us that he and V couldn't make our meal tonight.......family crisis..........B rang and we agreed that neither the Boss and I or B and S wanted D and V to miss out so we postponed meal.

B and I went for a beer later....didn't get home until past midnight.
