One Planet
I had stuff to do in town today, it was hellishly busy!
I couldn't wait to get back home but at least I'm all sorted for Christmas now.
First stop was the bank to schedule a payment to the Tax Man in the new year (he's not having it yet....it's not Christmas y'know!).
Once that was sorted I called into the place I used to work to drop a card off and wish the girls a happy Christmas. It was nice to have a brew and a catch up with the manager.
Shopping was last on the list. I needed fresh vegetables for dinner on Thursday; Aldi was jam packed, I couldn't even get on the car park so I had to brave Tesco instead.
I also had to collect a present for Mr A's brothers new girlfriend who is joining us on Christmas Day at his parents house.
This brings back memories for me as I met the whole family on Christmas Day too; I'd only known Mr A for 2 weeks then.....talk about being in the spotlight! I hope she doesn't feel too daunted at the prospect.
It's hard getting a gift for someone you don't know (only Laura has met her and that was briefly) and more so as she's a vegan.
As a collective, we decided it wouldn't be fair to not get her a gift, so I volunteered to find something on behalf of us all.
Luckily for me, there's the 'One Planet' shop in town. They have a wide range of products, for vegans, veggies and Eco warriors, so I was able to put together a nice (I think so anyway) present for her, with some great help from the store owner.
I just hope she likes it :-/
