It's Varnishing Time
This is a portrait of Donna, my next door neighbour, a month has passed since I painted it and gave it to her, and as requested she has returned it to be varnished.
This is the final process that has to wait till the paint is fully dried, and gives the painting a life expectancy of hundreds of years, which no photograph can match.
It will take a couple of days to dry then she can have it back to be permanently framed.
